According to Microsoft's CSS Compatibility and Internet Explorer list, IE8 Beta 1 supports letter-spacing. This is not true. The following test fails to apply any letter spacing when viewed in IE8 Beta 1 using Standards Mode. Drop to IE7 Mode and the styles are applied.
